Modernizing a core banking platform without downtime

Challenge

A 15-year-old core banking system was blocking new product launches and carried significant operational risk, but could not be taken offline for a rebuild.

Approach

We mapped the monolith's domain boundaries, extracted services incrementally behind an API gateway, and migrated data in verified stages with rollback paths at every step.

Implementation

Delivered in five incremental releases over the engagement, each independently verified in a shadow environment before cutover.

Outcome

The platform now supports independent service deployment, with the legacy monolith fully retired.
